Come and see the Olympic sport of fencing! U.S. Fencing will hold its first junior-level Cup of the season at the Delta Center in downtown Milwaukee November 19 – 22, 2010.

More than 1,000 of the nation's best fencers will compete. Several foreign competitors are expected from such nations as Canada, Great Britain, Israel and more.

The competition draws fencers from around the country, plus families and coaches. The tournament may bring as many as 4,000 visitors to the downtown Milwaukee area for the four-day weekend.

This is the second of six North American Cup competitions held around the country this season. Cadet (Under-17) and Junior (Under-20) athletes will compete at this event for spots on the U.S. team to the Junior World Championships in Mer Morte, Jordan, March 29 – April 4, 2011.

A Youth-14 (14 and under) North American Cup will also take place, pitting the country’s young athletes against each other. Events will be held in all three weapons: epee, foil and saber; formats and techniques vary for each weapon. More information will be available on site for spectators who are not familiar with fencing.

The public is invited to attend all events free of charge. This is a great opportunity to see some of the nation's best young athletes in action, including World, Pan American and Olympic team contenders.
